Get married is no small feat. After you say yes to each other, you go through life together in good times and bad – come what may. To laugh, to cry, to love, to argue, to live. An important step and a great event in life. That needs to be celebrated properly!

The wonderful thing about our profession is that we can take part in such events and can assist you with advice and support for your wedding in our fairytale castle. Put the most beautiful day of your life into our professional hands!

Everything you need to know for your castle wedding


You can reach us by car via the A73 motorway, directly on the B303 and B4, ICE
Connection Coburg, Nuremberg airport approx. 100 km, Frankfurt airport 230 km.

Church ceremony

Opposite the castle, romantically hidden in the forest, is the chapel of the von Imhoff family, where Catholic, Protestant or free weddings can be held. The pretty little church offers seating for 40 people and standing room for 60 people.

Civil ceremony

The enchanted historical landscape garden or the garden salon can be seated for the civil wedding depending on the weather. The municipality of Ahorn has a branch of the registry office with us.

Kick-off and reception

Depending on how you plan your most beautiful day of your life with us, the reception will take place on the palace terrace, in the Baronessebau or on the Italian music terrace.

After the wedding ceremony we will be pleased to welcome you with a glass of champagne, Pét Nat, or sparkling wine and finger food according to your choice.

Coffee and pastries

Austrian pastries or delicacies from the patisserie – we are also happy to spoil your sweet tooth in the afternoon. Bringing home made cakes and tarts is unfortunately not possible due to the high hygienic requirements, but candy can be delivered.

We will put together a personal wedding menu according to your wishes. As in our detailed discussions, we determine a seasonal menu with you. Our well-assorted wine cellar will surely find the perfect wine pairings for your coordinated menu.

Flower arrangements and decoration

The tables are set in white and decorated with white cloth napkins. The floral decorations are individually selected and set up. We support your florists with all questions concerning measurements, the number of tables, and other design possibilities.

Band, Music, DJ, Club

Our historical hall of mirrors is wonderfully suited for the wedding dance and relaxed swing dancing. Dances, where a lot of space is needed (e.g. Discofox) are unfortunately not possible due to the capacity of the room; also the Hall of Mirrors would not be appropriate for very loud disco music. For this purpose we recommend our Castle Room, where through the vault we offer the necessary acoustics and that certain club flair.

Start and end of the event

The start and end of the event and the associated drinks and food service are stipulated in the contract and must be observed. The latest end of the event to be contractually agreed is 3:00 a.m.

Check-in / Check-out

Our rooms are ready for occupancy at 3:00 p.m. Check-out is until 10:00 am.

Worth knowing / Conditions

The burning of fireworks is not permitted on the palace grounds for fire protection reasons.
The raising of sky lanterns is no longer permitted in Bavaria since 2008. Closing time of the event is 1:00 a.m. at the latest, unless a different time is contractually agreed upon. Third-party decoration articles always require approval. Our AGB apply.
